I like it when I get a book and it turns out to be something completely different from what I thought I'd be reading. This is the case with JLee Meyer's First Instinct. I thought I was getting a romance, but it turns out the novel is action packed and suspense filled. Yes, there is romance too, but Meyer from page 1 engrosses us in a story of deceit, crime and murder that culminates with a suspenseful chase scene and a marvelous love scene.
